WHO IS THE HAPPY ONE?

Recently I was listening to a podcast where the interviewer discussed feeling unworthy and trapped in spite of achieving all the so called happy goals that she thought would one day calm her anxiety. But to her surprise those achievements still made her feel hollow from within. This is a very common feeling which is prevalent today, was always there in the past and will remain prominent in the future too.

So who is the happy person in this world? Is it the new born baby who has just started to experience little joys of life or is it a corporate accomplisher who has just achieved a reward? A human is naturally made to grow and evolve. And the anxiety is always an indication of something one needs to achieve and work on. You might be satisfied with what you had planned to achieve today but your subconscious knows that there is more to achieve until you reach your best version. A toddler is anxious about learning a new skill each day. If that restlessness was not there, would he grow and learn as much in a couple of years? A little anxiety is good as it makes you do better things for yourself and those around you.

We in this world, are all projects in progress. It is best to understand that there are no limits to our goals. The goals in every age will be unique but important. Sometimes there is so much focus on achieving a goal that we forget about the lessons to be learnt and followed thereafter. Some things come and should come naturally to humans like relations, friendships, exploration of places and food. But these too are now looked at as goals and people are trying really hard to understand the concepts whereas the solutions are lying untapped within themselves. We are time-lining everything in our lives which is making us even more anxious and thus creating a never ending loop!

A healthy mind and a healthy body are crucial to achieve our goals. Ayurveda defines health as a balance of all the elements of the body & mind. While being mindful of our physical and mental health, achieving our personal & professional goals would be a smoother journey. Yoga & discipline can help achieve our goals by raising our vibrations and consciousness. Contributing each day towards your inner goals (professional/personal or spiritual) will help you remain aligned to your purpose and filled with enthusiasm. This person in you is the happy person.

Let us start our personal progress today by learning, achieving & giving away however small it might seem.

Let Ayurveda & Yoga help you achieve the happiest version of you!
