Aama and Its Disbursal

The metabolic load as we all relate to is the heavy concentration of unwanted metabolic residue flowing through our systems. This metabolic load was termed as “Aama” in Ayurveda. It is important to breakdown or metabolise these molecules in order to free our systems from them.

This is why the term ‘Aampachan’ or breaking down of these free radicals is considered extremely important to improve metabolism, circulation and thereby nutrition of all the elements of the body.

Autoimmune disorders, metabolic syndromes and lifestyle disorders all require breakdown of ‘aama’ alongside the targeted treatment.

A simple way to reduce your aama is to eat light and exercise well. Splattering herbs like cumin, carrom, dried ginger, black peppers in your daily diet with oil or ghee can help digest and release metabolic load. Specially recommended for kapha personalities.
Detoxing your body every three months by sticking to fresh fruits, vegetables and soups for a week can also help reduce “aama”.
